malaysian is celebrating its 51st merdeka today and in each state capital there were celebrations being organised for it. Selamat menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan yg ke 51.

for all the muslim 1st sept is also the first day of ramadhan. It is the holy month in Islam. Selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa untuk semua saudara muslim. Moga ramadhan kali ini akan menjadi yang terbaik.

malam ini dimulakan dgn sembahyang sunat terawih, i did join at the nearby surau. The crowd were there and hoping to see it till the end of ramadhan.

ni pagi nanti jam 5 nak bangun sahur. My wife buat rendang daging walau pun dia tak berapa sihat. Tqvm my dear.

it is budget day

on air at the moment is pak lah delivering his motion for the 2009 budget in parliament. Sound to be 'budget prihatin' as in his earlier part he has announced that free electricity will be given to those whose usage is below rm20.00 per month.

public transport has been taken care off and some new lines for LRT and also other modes of public transport being announced. Hoping it will helps in easing the jammed in klang valley.

some other measures has been table by such as the increase for allowances for pentioner (those served 25yrs and above) to a minimum of rm720. It do include the pencen terbitan. So, my mak mertua will benefit, sure a big smile if she come to know about it.

for smokers like myself, an increase is expected and has been said. It will cost 0.60cts more for a pack of 20. Better start thinking of quitting as more money needed to puff.

for the govt servants, thanks pak lah for announcing a month bonus for us though it will be given in two stages. Definetely it will ease us in preparing for the coming hari raya and new year.

pak yiew rugby boys reunion dinner

last wed there were a small ghatering among us the old boys of King Edward VII at Eastin Hotel PJ. Those presence mainly the former team-mates of the great rugger boys of KE VII from the squad of 1978 - 1981.

jalil shaaib (stand off), keat swee (jumper), mariappan (fulback), ramli (baie), yusof arif (wing fwd)and myself (winger) were there and later being joined by thong chee meng (no 8). The atmosphere were lively as everybody were talking of the goods old days.

since our former school will be celebrating its 125 years, a special dinner is being organised on this coming Oct 11, 2008. The goal was good but we disagreed with it as there will be two (2) types of tables on sales, each at 1k (for outside the dewan) and 3k (inside the dewan).

we totally agreed to have one for our group that consists of all rugby players during the era of our great coach, pak yiew. He will be our quest of honour for that occasion. A few others will be on our list.

the dinner will be held on 10.10.2008 at a venue yet to be confirm as we are trying our best to find one in Taiping. A minimal charge of RM150 has been agreed upon for the dinner that will cover the makan, jersey and also momento for our coach and teachers invited.

anwar back to parliament

dsai was sworn in today as MP after his landslide victory during the by election held recently. He was also made the head of the opposition in the parliament.

it will be tough in the days ahead for pak lah and co as anwar will be raising issues and demanding answers from the govt.

i did agree with tun m that anwar could convince even the devil to follow him. That was his biggest asset and ones could not deny it. As one of my friend who is also an MP for PKR, Abdullah Sani (Edwardians) put it, anwar is at par with the late Soekarno.

for the rakyat that who has given him the mandate and support for sure they will be eagerly waiting for the changes from him as promised b4 the by election and also prior to it.

is pak lah a match to anwar? i don't think so. The demand for pak lah to step down is on the increase lately be it within or outside the party. Beside tun who has been very vocal in asking pak lah to step down, same goes to his son mukhriz. I believed there are many more in the party itself but they don't have the guts in calling the shot.

b4 the by election, i did tell some of my friends that it will be an easy task for anwar to wrest back the seat made vacant by his wife to pave the way for his return to parliament. Some were with me and of course some were not.

could anwar form the government comes this Sept 16 as promised? will the cross over takes place? I wonder and it is going to be a quessing game till the date approach. Lets wait and see.

may DSAI deliver as an MP and also the opposition head for the benefit of the rakyat.

permatamg pauh

esok tanggal 26 ogos 2008 pengundi2 di P 44 Permatang Pauh akan membuat pilihan siapakah yang akan mewakili mereka di Parlimen untuk 4 tahun akan datang.

dsai akan ditentang oleh dato' ariff shah dan terselit seorang calun lain dari AKIM. Namun begitu saya percaya ianya hanya akan merupakan pertandingan dua penjuru sahaja iaitu BN dengan PKR. Hanya tinggal beberapa jam sahaja lagi untuk kedua-dua parti untuk berkempen dalam usaha untuk meraih undi.

BN dengan segala jentera yang ada akan berusaha untuk merampas kembali permatang pauh yang telah 10 tahun dikuasai oleh pembangkang. PKR sudah pasti akan berusaha keras untuk mempertahankan kubu kuatnya itu.

yang pasti semoga pengundi P 44 akan membuat pilihan yang tepat dan tidak akan menyesal nanti. Semoga pilihanraya kecil ini akan berjalan dengan sempurna dan menunjukkan kematangan pengundi2nya.

di masjid wilayah persekutuan, jalan duta, jam 6.30 ptg tanggal 15.8.2008 saudara saiful yang mendakwa telah diliwat oleh anuar ibrahim telah melafazkan sumpahnya dihadapan Al-Quran dgn disaksikan oleh Imam masjid tsbt serta bbrp ulamak lain dan dihadapan wakil2 media.

KUALA LUMPUR 15 Ogos – Mohd. Saiful Bukhari Azlan hari ini mengotakan janjinya bersumpah mengikut syariat Islam untuk membuktikan kebenaran dakwaan dirinya diliwat oleh Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim di Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan, Jalan Duta di sini pukul 6.30 petang ini.
Dalam upacara yang berlangsung di Dewan Solat Utama masjid berkenaan, Mohd. Saiful, 23, yang berbaju Melayu coklat menghadap kiblat sebelum melafazkan sumpah berikut:
“Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Pada hari ini, 14 Ogos 2008, saya Mohd. Saiful Bukhari Azlan Nombor Kad Pengenalan 850706-01-5687 dengan ini sesungguhnya dengan nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah Lagi Maha Penyayang berikrar dan bersumpah seperti berikut...
"A'uzubillahi minas syaitanirrajim. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Wallahi, Wabillahi, Watallahi. Saya bersumpah bahawa saya telah diliwat oleh Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim pada 26 Jun 2008 iaitu pada tarikh tersebut Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim telah memasukkan zakarnya ke dalam dubur saya.
“Jika saya berdusta atas pengakuan ini, maka saya berdusta terhadap Allah S.W.T dan saya sanggup menerima azab, dilaknat dan kutukan daripada Allah S.W.T sehingga ke kiamat. Wallahualam."
Sebelum lafaz itu, beliau mengucapkan kalimah syahadah sebanyak tiga kali diikuti bacaan surah Al-Fatihah.
Majlis itu disaksikan beberapa pegawai masjid tersebut dan ahli keluarga Mohd. Saiful di samping para pegawai dari Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (Jawi).
Antaranya ialah Pengarah Jawi, Datuk Che Mat Che Ali. – Utusan.

- so, siapakah yang benar? pening kepala memikirkannya. Adalah sesuatu yang amat memerit dan menyukarkan untuk membuat keputusan sebegini sekiranya tidak dipihak yang benar kerana kita semua sbg umat Islam amat arif akan akibatnya. Pada sidang akhbarnya disebuah hotel selepas itu saiful menyatakan merasa lega setelah beliau berjaya melakukan sumpah tersebut dan menjawab kebanyakan saolan wartawan bahawa beliau akan menjawab di mahkamah nanti.

08.08.08 and at 8 pm was the day china began as host for the 2008 olympic with a stunning performances during the opening ceromony. I was watching the live telecact of the opening ceromony. What a wonderful performances by the chinese.

as of today China is leading the medal tally with 14 gold, 12 gold for USA and 8 gold for South Korea who were 2nd with 3rd at the moment. How about Malaysia? Hoping to see some medal being won by our team. Our shuttlers were making a good debut at the moment. Don't forget the Gold medalist will turn millionaire soon.
